Thank you to Lewis for being my first victim guest for S(n)arcstack Live.
In this wide-ranging conversation from 30 October we jumped from topic to topic, befitting the informal name I gave to our conversation: The Nicheless Newsletter.
It’s a long(ish) and rambling chat, so by all means jump around and something we’re talking about might grab you.
I’m too scared to go back and watch it (it’s live, it’s raw, it’s not meant to be edited!), though I did check the first few minutes to see how cringeworthy I was, from what I remember we discussed:
the disorientating nature of the live feature and the tech glitches (how thrilling)
choosing Substack newsletter names
our dislike of having a clear niche
ADHD
humour, specifically American v British and a terrific question from
about innocuous incongruity (it’ll make sense if you watch!)bellybuttons
the most famous and noteworthy celebrity divorces
In Lewis’s own words:
It was nervy and chaotic and a bit freewheeling and so much fucking fun. We discussed Substack, ADHD, comedy, bellybuttons and loads more.
Thanks to everyone who tuned in and posed questions. If you missed the party, you can watch it here. And we will definitely be doing more of these.
So there you go - check us out, and as Lewis said, we’ll be back for more one of these days.
