You're really good as a podcast host, I enjoy (and don't get distracted) while listening to these 👍

(The thumbs-up is still a compliment and sign of encouragement for me since you mentioned once it is considered passive-aggressive by some these days) 😅

Thank you Stephanie, that's kind of you to say. Shall I book you as a future guest then? 😂

I'm happy with the thumbs up, definitely! 👍

That would take me way out of my comfort zone, so sure, I'd be up for it 😅

Loving the evolution of your pod Daniel! Especially love the music to this one. Great chat between you and Tim. It’s making me nostalgic for ours 😂😂 Also love the captions 👍🏻

It was a lot of fun! Maybe someday we can all hop on one together.

What a great idea!

Great. Once I've done a few more I'll have a big gathering of 6 or 7 guests and it will be a total free-for-all!

If only you knew how long it took me... My technophobia and Ludditism reared their ugly heads and I was getting exasperated at times (probably shouldn't admit this - trade secret!)

You've never know - total professionalism! It'll get quicker each time I'm sure and anyway, is totally worth the additional blood pressure from an audience point of view🤪

Oh Henny. Oh no. My Upstate heart just shriveled up a little bit. 😂

Great episode. Winging stuff is definitely the most fun way of doing stuff, so continue winging this podcast 'cause you're nailing it.

Thank you, but did it look like I was winging it? I was actually prepared, with an outline and questions and everything! I was worried it was obvious I was looking over at my notes on my phone. I would seriously much prefer to wing it, as in 'hey, here's our topic, no questions to prep for, let's chat.' That's the approach I'm taking with my next one (I just hope my guest agrees!)

By the way, be careful - you continue offering me praise, I'll have no choice but to beg for you to be a future guest! 😂

Ha, no no. You seemed very prepared. Tim mentioned toward the end about just diving in with his podcast and then you were talking about taking the winging it approach as a teacher and just seeing what happens.

Ha. Save your begging energy. I'll always say no. But I'll continue to watch your podcast grow.

Haha, thanks, I'll take it (the watching my podcast grow thing). What about when I do my relationship podcast, the one about 'how we met' where I ask for couples to come on and share their lovey-dovey tales? That's right up your alley! You could tell us about the beer and coffee and not wanting to get out of bed and all...

I'M KIDDING!!! I won't ask, you're spared.

Seriously - winging it usually worked so much better in the classroom. Some of my best lessons were with teenagers when one girl was having a horrible day and just wanted to talk about what an asshole her boyfriend was and then I ditched my lesson plan (plan? more like a few bullet points with vague ideas and jokes) and we just talked about how to get revenge and then we did something like Agony Aunt letters and just gave advice to each other about our relationships, and I of course added in my curmudgeonly miserable advice which made them all feel even worse. Ah, the good old days...

Curmudgeonly miserable advice is the advice that nobody wants to hear, but I'm here for it lol
